  This is a retirement home with a cemetery. Several staff reported seeing what looked like a headless apparition in the library, which disappeared when they turned the lights on and came back when the lights were off. A large frying pan was also thrown at some staff members in the kitchen when no one was nearby. There are many other stories of strange occurrences here.

  Rose Victorian Inn
(Now a special events business)
  A young girl named Alice is said to haunt this location. She is said to inhabit the tower room. Several people have seen her and/or heard her laughing. She is said to like cats, and the owners have said that they found a number of cats (inexplicably) sleeping near the window of the tower room.

Bakersfield
(Kern Co.)
  Kern Realty Group Building   This building was erected in the early 1900’s and three ghosts are said to inhabit it; a young man often seen hammering, an older man who seems angry, and an elderly woman who just watches. Noises are reported and things like doorknobs rattling happen quite often.

Coloma
(El Dorado Co.)
  Vineyard House   This famous site of many hauntings have included hearing and seeing various apparitions, such as a group of men in Victorian clothing who were drunk and singing loudly and disappeared in front of a guest when the building was an Inn. A large chandelier also crashed down for no apparent reason missing several guests by an inch. (Currently closed to the public)

Santa Cruz

  Grahm Hill Road Cemetary   Apparitions of faces have been seen floating in the air as well as orbs of energy which can be seen with the naked eye. Strange noises are heard and dark mists floating above many of the headstones. An unfriendly ghost is said to be often found near the end of the cemetery if a person shines car headlights there. People are warned to stay away from this ghost if it moves toward them.
