Barber’s Point | The apparition of a sleeping or dead young woman in a yellow Volkswagon is said to appear there frequently especially to new security guards. It is said that a woman died at the spot in a car like that and that she comes back to greet new security guards in the area. The car is said to even bear the same license plate of that of the woman who died at Barber’s point. | ||

Wahiawa Elementary School | Those living nearby tell the story of “the green lady” an apparition which came out of the woods near the school and who is said to have had green, scaly skin. The first sightings were reported in the 1940’s but children have also reported seeing her recently near the playground. She hasn’t been said to hurt anyone but the children find her frightening. | ||

The apparition of the Huna Volcano Goddess, Madam Pele, has been reported in this area for centuries. She is seen wearing a long red dress and is often reported along forest roads. She is said to warn of impending eruptions. Scientists studying the volcano have even reported seeing her. | ||

Waimano Hospital | Numerous ghosts have been reported here including a woman who died as the result of a car accident in the 1940’s who is said to have slapped a girl’s hand. This hospital used to be an asylum. There are said to be inexplicable car wrecks near the buildings, cars with no drivers, and lights turning on and off as well as footsteps in empty rooms and hallways. | ||

Waimea Canyon and Falls | The falls and the entire river are said to be highly spiritually charged and many apparitions have been reported. A seven foot tall ghost without a head has also been seen in the vicinity on numerous occasions. | ||
