She has been identified through comparison with old photographs as someone who once visited the mansion on many occasion. She has been seen putting on hat and gloves, pacing the hallway, and near the pond on the grounds. | ||

Harpo, Inc. | What is now the studios of Harpo Productions (which includes Oprah Winfrey’s show) is said to be haunted by the victims of the Eastland shipping disaster in 1915. Ms. Winfrey reportedly talks openly about the ghosts and they are said to be friendly. | ||

Country House Restaurant | The story is that a woman who asked the bartender of the restaurant to watch her baby (he refused) died along with her baby in a car accident after she raced away angrily. Many patrons and employees have reported seeing the ghost of the woman particularly in an upstairs storage room. It is said that lights flicker, doors get locked, and many dishes and glasses broken. | ||

Miner’s Theater | It is said that this theater is haunted by three spirits, two of whom are angry ghosts and who were brothers. One brother is said to have killed the other for ownership of the theater. The other ghost is said to be simply mischievous and hides things from the actors. New actors are warned never to speak to the first two ghosts. | ||

Mount Thabor Cemetery | There have been numerous reports of colorful balls of light appearing in photographs taken here. It is said that drivers passing the cemetery at night often see balls of light moving toward the road. Other apparitions have been reported, including a green mist enveloping the graveyard. | ||
