Amelia (Clermont Co.) |
“Dead Man’s Curve” Intersection of Rt. 222 and State Rt. 125 |
This intersection has been the location of many accidents. Some people say more than 70 deaths have happened here. The most famous, and the one that give's the intersection its name, occurred on October 19, 1969. A 1968 Impala filled with five teenagers was hit by a 1969 Roadrunner, and only one man, named Rick, survived. Ever since then, people have seen a "faceless" hitchhiker walking up and down the road near the scene of the accident. People have also seen a driverless Impala or Roadrunner around the area, also. This has been reported to authorities hundreds of times.
Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) |
Hilton Netherland Plaza 35 West 5th Street |
Since the 1930’s it has been said that a ghostly lady in green haunts this property. People say that she is the ghost of a woman whose husband was killed in an accident while the hotel was being constructed and his body was never found. Supposedly she is still looking for him. She has been seen in several locations here.
Lebanon (Warren Co.) |
The Golden Lamb Inn | Built in 1803, this hotel is said to be Ohio’s oldest hotel, and has been visited by many famous people over the years. The room called Sarah is named after one of the ghosts. She is said to have been the niece of Isaac Stubbs, one of the hotel’s managers. The other ghost is said to be a former Supreme Court Justice who died at the hotel in 1829. Many sightings have been reported over the years of both ghosts. |

Utopia (Clermont Co.) |
Utopia | Utopia was founded in the mid-1800’s by a man called Charles Fourier, who had some fairly unusual religious beliefs. The riverbank is said to be haunted by the ghosts of the remainder of his followers, many of whom drowned in a church during the great flood of the Ohio river in 1847. Full body apparitions have been reported here including “an old woman dressed in tattered farm clothes.” Others have reported orbs and/or found little activity. Apparently more happens at night in terms of ghostly encounters. Utopia is located in Franklin township. Be very careful if walking along the banks of the Ohio river at night. Don’t do so alone.
