  Battery Carriage House Inn
20 South Battery
This hotel is said to be haunted by two spirits: a headless torso and one that is referred to as the gentleman ghost. The building was used as an artillery installation during the Civil War, and the headless torso is thought to be related to that usage. The gentleman ghost is much more friendly and has been reported many times, floating through closed doors, standing and watching guests and employees, and so forth.

Poogan’s Porch Restaurant   Many people have called police reporting that someone is in the restaurant when it is in fact empty. There is even said to be a ghost of a little dog, called Poogan, who will often be heard or brush up against someone on the front porch but is usually unseen. It is said that there is also a ghost named Zoe who inhabits this place.
