  Alum Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetary   An apparently confused elderly man has been seen wandering around the cemetary. He disappears into thin air when approached.

  Swan Cemetary   Anomalies have shown up on film and people have reported feelings of not being alone.

  Western Regional Jail   Although relatively new there have been reports of doors opening within the jail and other unexplained phenomena both inside and out.

  Beckley Junior High School   Originally a hospital during the Civil War there have been reports of a nurse called Hannah moaning and footsteps have been heard in the corridors.

  Raleigh County Courthouse   The ghostly figure of a woman wearing a red dress has been seen in the courtroom.

  Soldier's Memorial Theater   Both staff and artists at the theater have reported seeing a male ghost as well as hearing the sounds of music and children's laughter. Some believe this is related to an accident during the grand opening.

  Bluefield State College Manfield Hall   A young girl haunts the basement and hallways of the hall. People have reported dozing off and awaking to finde her right in front of them.

  Wade Elementary School   Although the school has been closed for some time there have been reports of children seen running through the hallways. Three children died of unexplained causes during the school's history.

  Ramsdell House   The house is reputedly haunted by the ghosts of Civil War soldiers and slaves from the days of the Underground Railroad. Chains rattling at night and the sounds of soldiers talking have been reported. Doors have been known to close by themselves and the lights go on and off.

  Capitol Plaza Theatre   Built in 1909 the theater stands on the site of the old Welch Mansion that had stood there since 1798. The most active ghost is that of John Welch. Another less active ghost is known as Molly Welch. She was John's youngest daughter who died of pneumonia in 1840 around the age of eight. She is very shy but on occasions can be seen sitting in the front row of the balcony during a performance.
