Cheyenne
(Laramie Co.)
1600 Central Avenue   It is said that three ghosts haunt this hotel. The story is that a couple came to the hotel for their honeymoon in the early 1900’s, and that the new bride caught her husband leaving the lounge with a prostitute. She is said to have followed her husband and the other woman to the woman’s room, and that she then shot them and turned the gun on herself. All three ghosts have been seen multiple times since, particularly the groom, who is seen often in period clothing. Noises are heard of crying and shouting from the room this is said to have occurred in even when the room is empty.

Evanston
(Uinta Co.)
Wyoming State Hospital   In one window looking out at the interstate the police put up a sheet to cover because so many people have reported seeing the body of a young woman (a ghost) hanging from a rope in the window. They say she is reliving her death where she hung herself. Even though the hospital is not currently in use, lots of people say they’ve seen lights here, a rocking chair, the girl’s body, things floating, and so on. This has been going on for many years.

Sheridan
(Sheridan Co.)
  Sheridan Inn
865 Broadway Street
Built in 1893, and now basically a museum, this one-time hotel is said to have been the home of Buffalo Bill Cody. It is said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman named Miss Kate Arnold, who lived and worked at the hotel for 65 years. Her last request before she died in 1968 was to have her ashes be put into the wall of the room that she lived in. It is said that her ghost remains to this day, watching over the Inn. Lights are seen there frequently when there is no one in the building and moving cold spots have been measured in her room.
