Tarot Card Meanings by Psychic Revelation
Learning The Tarot
For anyone interested in learning to use Tarot cards the hardest part initially is interpreting them. Even using a single card or a very simple spread such as the Three Card can be challenging. Most websites giving Tarot meanings or definitions tend to have just a few lines and quite frankly that's not very helpful; particularly to a beginner. Sometimes the given definition simply makes no sense whatsoever in the context of the question you are asking!
It's all very well saying the Ace of Cups means this, that, or the other, but how do you use that definition for a love reading? Or a work reading? Our definitions are split into introduction, general, work, love, finances, health and spirituality, which we hope you will find a lot more useful and a lot more meaningful in your quest to understand all the Tarot meanings.
Please note though, that these meanings are meant as a guideline. Tarot meanings are not set in stone; not even ours! They are meant to make you think and guide you in the right direction. For most cards you will probably (hopefully!) feel that our meanings are right, but if a particular card calls to you in a different way then don't be afraid to go with your intuition. Time will tell if you're right or not.
Different decks sometimes call some suits and cards differently. We have used the notation for the decks that we use. Just in case there's any confusion some alternative variants are:
- Cups: Hearts.
- Pentacles: Coins.
- Wands: Batons, sticks.
