The Magic of the Magician
The Magician is one of my favorite Tarot cards. Don't think of him as a conjurer for he is not some mundane practitioner of sleight of hand but the real deal. He is the master of true magic.
When he appears it is generally an indication of a very positive time for you. That doesn't mean that everything is going to be handed to you on a plate though. Just how positive that time will be will very much depend on you. You have to do your part too.
The Magician is magical and is capable of performing magic that is quite special. But there is a caveat. And that caveat is simply this: He is all about potential and so will this period of your life be. Even though this is a positive time generally it has the potential to be even more positive.
He is telling you that you have all the tools at your disposal to perform magic just as he does. He can perform feats of magic with his tools but can you? The short answer to that as "Yes."
Just as he can make things happen so can you. But you have to try because he is not going to do it for you. It doesn't matter what aspect of life you consider because his potential (and hence yours) is not limited to any particular area.
Looking for love? Go out there and find it. Looking for a new job? It's out there waiting for you. Need a pay rise? That too is there for the asking. It doesn't matter what part of life is bugging you because you now have the opportunity to make positive changes.
There are several sayings that can be used to sum up this period of positive potential for you. Perhaps one of the best is "carpe diem." For those that don't know it literally means "seize the day." You are being urged to make the most of the present time and give little thought to the future. That doesn't mean that the future will be bad just that now is a time for action in the present.
To borrow a couple of lines from Invictus (the poem by William Ernest Henley):
"I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul."
The Magician is telling you that you too can be the master of your fate and the captain of your soul. If you want magical things to happen then perform magic!
